The sealing tape was taken up, the painted panels stacked away, the long-hidden hardwood revealed again.
"I'm so happy to see my wood floor again. It's so much easier to sweep!" she bubbled.
"But it's like it's all ending now; it's gone," he said.
"Well, yeah. That's how it goes."
"And it's over. I'm not so sure I want it to be over."
"Same here. But look at that floor. We turned it into some other place. Now it's back to normal, and just think what we can do with it next. Yes, this one's gone, but look at what it can be."
He thought about that, and she continued.
"It's a bare stage. Now it's about the potential it has for the next show."
"I like that way of thinking about it. Potential..."
"Exactly."
